The centre is well resourced with sessional contact workers, equipment for workers (computers etc) along with good size contact rooms and equipment for families. The centre has an easy-to-use website where referrers and clients can find out the necessary information about the different services the centre offers. Clients need to call the centre regarding costs for service.
The centre has a qualified social worker of more than15 years. She has worked previously in the voluntary and private sector, working in partnership with local authorities and government organisations primarily in safeguarding. She has experience in commissioning of public and health care services and has acted in an advisory and consultative capacity in relation to procurement of social care placements, participation of looked after children and care leavers.
The social worker provides training in house for the contact workers but as previously mentioned is in the process of arranging updated contact workers training for her team at Accord Family Services.
The centre provides a good quality service for their users and contact workers.
