Description
Cove Child Contact Centre aims to provide safe, child-friendly spaces where children can meet with a parent they don't live with. Our centre in Cove is open for 1.5 hours on the third Sunday of each month from 2 to 3:30pm. We use the hall and other rooms of Cove Methodist Church in Farnborough. We have separate controlled access points for resident and non-resident parents so parents can use the centre without meeting and the meeting areas are supervised to ensure that children stay safe. The centre is run by volunteers and supported by donations, so we do not make a charge for the service.

Accreditation Summary
Date: 16/03/2021
Summary:
The assessor received a well-presented and informative portfolio from the Centre that had all the necessary documents required. The coordinator informed the assessor that the NACCC statistics have been sent and that their DIF form is correct to this date. The Centre is organised and welcoming Centre. The assessor was met by the coordinator and the Chair and was shown around the premises.
Information is being sent out to the families regarding the changes to the operation of the Centre and that the health questionnaire must be completed prior to the families returning. The information will also state about families to bring their own toys for the session and social distancing is in place.
The coordinator thanked the Chair and committee for the support received in getting the reaccreditation portfolio together along with the support of the assessor during this process. It is of great importance to the coordinator that all the volunteers and families feel comfortable and safe during the contact sessions when in attendance at the Centre.
The Centre meets NACCC national standards required for Supported Centres and the assessor recommended the Centre for reaccreditation.
