Hemel Hempstead Child Contact Centre is located in the town centre at Carey Baptist Church. There are good transport links into the town centre which is a short walk away. The church offers ample parking and has easy access for wheelchair users.

When entering the centre there is a reception area for recording who is attending contact sessions. The centre offers a large hall with tables set around the room to allow for privacy and three small rooms which can also be used (one for babies, one for older children and one with electronic games). During Covid they have restricted the number of families and only use the large hall allowing plenty of room between the families.  The centre has two separate entrances and uses staggered arrival and departure times. When contact is taking place the hall is well set out and equipped with a variety of toys, games and activities to cater for all ages. With Covid families have been asked to bring their own toys and games and have been very accommodating regarding the safety measures and doing what is asked.

The centre co-ordinator and deputy have worked hard to keep the centre open and well staffed during these challenging times. They are both committed to providing a positive service with good, committed support from their volunteers. The centre is very well established in the town and receives support when fundraising.
