Always check that your local centre is accredited

NACCC child contact centres and services have an accreditation process which shows that all NACCC services work to agreed and approved national standards, ensuring that families using the services are safe. The national standards are updated by NACCC in line with legislation and good practice. NACCC is aware that there are centres and services possibly operating that are not accredited so please ensure the safety of children and their families by referring to NACCC accredited services. Cafcass, the Courts and most Social Services departments will not refer you to these services because it cannot be guaranteed that they are safe and effective without accreditation. NACCC has a range of protocols with CAFCASS/CAFCASS CYMRU, and family lawyers setting out how referrals to services should be managed.
