The Family Tree Centre CIC, a newly established service offering NACCC enhanced accredited supervised and supported contact sessions, has been busy welcoming a host of VIP visitors.
Based at Enterprise House in Darlington, Durham, the Family Tree Centre opened six months ago. Recent VIP guests to the centre included the mayor of Darlington, Councillor Bob Donoghue, accompanied by his wife and mayoress, Mags.
The mayor and mayoress met with the Family Tree Centre’s Managing Director, Barbara Cookson, who was keen to showcase the centre’s fantastic facilities and the range of services available to support local families.
The Mayor of Darlington, said:
It was interesting to hear about the work being done here. The Family Tree Centre provides a vital child-centred service which puts children at the heart of everything they do. Thank you for showing us around.
In addition, the centre hosted a cohort of Darlington Councillors, including Cllr Jim Garner, Cabinet Member for Stronger Communities, Cllr Anne-Marie Curry, Cllr Paul Walters and Cllr Matthew Snedker. All were impressed with the centre’s welcoming facilities and its commitment to supporting local families in and around Darlington.

With a range of fantastically furnished bright contact rooms that are easily accessible for those with mobility issues, The Family Tree Centre provides a safe, warm, welcoming and child centred environment where children and young people can enjoy Family Time sessions with non-resident parents or family members following divorce or separation.
