The UK has one of the highest rates of family breakdown in the Western world with nearly one in four children living with a single parent1. More than a million children have no contact whatsoever with one or other parent after separation2. Family breakdown has a huge effect on society and business and is estimated to cost the country £46 billion a year2. The NACCC is the only charity in the UK dedicated to solving this problem, by providing safe spaces where children can meet the parents they don’t live with. We oversee around 350 contact centres across the UK, run by a network of nearly 3000 volunteers. Our #LOSTPARENTS campaign aims to raise awareness of the work centres do in keeping children in touch with parents. We have a number of activities planned over the coming year. Have a look at this short film to find out more about what we do and how you can help.
