Virtual Contact is a type of contact that takes place online.

This type of contact can be helpful if you do not feel ready for face to face contact. It can also be helpful if you are not able to have contact for some other reason.

Virtual Contact often takes place using things like Skype, Teams, Zoom, Facebook and so on. Do speak to your carers or parents to find out, or let them know which one might work best for you.

Before having Virtual Contact; your parents, carers or proffessionals should help you to prepare for virtual contact and this will include helping you to plan to keep safe or feel safe.

Virtual contact works best, when you or the people you will be spending time with think about some fun activities or other things that you might be able to do together, so that you don’t find yourself running out of things to talk about.

We have created a fun activity guide that might help with this.
